HOPE Court is an evidence-based problem-solving court that focuses on helping qualifying, non-violent offenders. It is a graduated system of sanctions and incentives to encourage substance users in their journey to break the cycle of addiction and the resulting criminal justice consequences.

Our Purpose
HOPE Court helps provide offenders with tools and resources to live a clean and sober lifestyle, find a path to employment, and educational opportunities. These are all foundational to bringing participants in a cycle of addiction into a more prosperous life.
Who Qualifies For HOPE Court?
Not everyone can qualify for HOPE Court. Below are criteria for qualifying:
- Sandusky County Non-Violent Offenders
- Must Be 18 Or Older
- Shows Symptoms Of Chronic Substance Abuse
- Have No Open Cases At The Time Of Eligibility
- No Convictions Of A Crime Of Violence Or Completed A Sentence 5 Years Prior To Referral To HOPE Court
